Vintage canvas

Hello, I am posting for the first time to see how this works and to share my canvas I was working on today. I started with an 8×10 canvas and collaged with different floral papers. To adhere the papers I made a mixture of brown paint, gesso, and Mod Podge. That way I got color while gluing down my papers. I then used distress ink in vintage photo to distress the edges of my focal point picture of the vintage girl and I used the distress ink to add color to areas of the canvas. I used a gold painters pen to add some highlights of gold here and there. The pink paper behind my focal picture was colored with Faber- Castell Gelatos and then I wrinkled the paper and then added distress ink to the wrinkled creases.
I added the sentiment stickers and glued them down to be sure they wouldn’t fall off. I also added some butterflies to the bottom left side with a stencil and Gelatos. The image of the girl had diamonds around her, I used glossy accents to make those stand out. I am going to add some paper roses made with my new spellbinders die to the upper left. I will upload a picture of the finished product.
I hope I inspire you to try this if you have never made a collaged canvas. I had so much fun making this and it will make a great holiday gift or birthday gift.

Thanks for taking time to read my post!

God Bless
